Onepak Enhances ServiceNow ReturnCenter App with New Program Feature

Boston, MA, June 21, 2023 – Onepak, creator of ReturnCenter, the leading circular economy logistics platform, is pleased to announce significant updates to its ReturnCenter app, now available in the ServiceNow store. The latest release introduces a powerful new Program feature, streamlining the process of shipping IT assets while maintaining targeted solutions and existing billing arrangements.

The ReturnCenter app has been instrumental in providing users with a seamless and trackable transportation solution for various IT asset management needs, including dispositions, lease returns, and redeployments. With carbon-neutral pickup and delivery services available in every US zip code, ReturnCenter ensures efficient and eco-friendly IT asset logistics.

One of the notable enhancements in the update is the addition of the Program feature. This feature allows IT asset managers to leverage existing relationships with third-party providers for booking and tracking shipments while maintaining their current billing arrangements. Users can now create shipments billed to other corporate divisions, partners, or specific company accounts set up for particular purposes, such as employee offboarding.

Each billing arrangement represents a Program within the ReturnCenter app, offering configurable options to limit the destinations to which assets are shipped or the available service types. For instance, a Human Resources department may establish a Remote Employee Returns Program for recovering laptops, billed to their department, with the internal IT department designated as the sole destination and only shipping kits and labels as an available service option.

Similarly, an IT asset manager can create a Program for lease returns, billed to one division, while having a separate Program to book shipments to an IT asset disposition (ITAD) provider, with billing handled by the ITAD provider. This flexibility allows for efficient asset movement within organizations without disrupting established agreements or billing processes.

The new Program feature also benefits ITAD providers who serve clients using ServiceNow. Enhanced functionality provides an electronic bridge between ITADs and their customers without the need for API integrations. Clients can now conveniently book and track shipments to their ITAD within the ServiceNow environment. This eliminates the need for data exports, spreadsheets, or switching between platforms, streamlining the asset disposition process and enhancing visibility throughout the lifecycle.

“We are excited to introduce the Program feature in our ReturnCenter app, enabling users to manage hardware asset shipments more efficiently while offering streamlined service options to their internal groups and preserving existing billing arrangements,” said Steve Andon, Founder and CEO of Onepak. “This update reflects our commitment to providing seamless logistics solutions, streamlining processes, and saving valuable time for IT asset managers.”

The ReturnCenter app offers a range of services, including shipping boxes and return labels for remote asset retrieval, pallet pickups, onsite packing, tagging, and shipping, performed by trained and certified drivers nationwide. The carbon footprint for each logistics leg is measured and offset, generating data available to customers to help meet their net-zero goals.
